Without proper ventilation any tent will have condensation. You would be surprised how much water vapor there is in the air even with only one person breathing. Well several weeks ago I bought this 2 man tent and last night was the 1st time I was able to set it up and sleep out in my backyard.
The tent is in excellent shape and I bought it new. The items that were used twice were the tent, floor liner, and roof protector. I bought the vestibule used and it is in good shape. There are no holes or cuts in the tent or vestibule. Headlamps set the products apart in a sea of camouflage and gear with a hunt/fish aesthetic. Cabela’s XPG Deluxe 4 person tent… – $100 (conway)
Best tent i have ever owned, and would buy several more or recommend without hesitation. Get the footprint, it is worth the $20-25. Set up is EASY and the 5lbs is really nice when humping gear. Carry size is about a normal athletic shoebox. The only thing i don’t like is the single door, limited airflow with the fly on…but i guess that is the point.
Cabela’s has you covered in any weather with XPG Ultralight Tents. Compact, lightweight and unbelievably rugged shelters for the serious backpacker. It is little complicated to set up and takes a while, which can be a pain after a long day of hiking or riding, but I see very few tents I like as much as this. As far as the tents are concerned, I took a look at the XPG Ultralight, however, I am torn between that and the Alaskan Guide Geodesic Tent. I do like that the Geodesic tent has a vestibule, however, not sure if it is worth the extra coin. Unbelievably comfortable and warm and it eliminates the need for a seperate tent.

This stuff works great for that and is very durable. I got a 8 ft by 16 ft strip for my tent and made 2 foot prints. Also picked up a Kelty Noah’s Tarp 12 for $37 & purchased 2 Kelty poles (1 adjustable & 1 non) to go with it. I think it will work well with the tent to provide additional shelter in the event of rain.

It’s great quality and does everything it says it does, though the design of the Bivy could be better. My experience with the Cabela’s line is that they are good-to-go and are very durable. If you are looking at a sleeping pad, check out the XPG pads compared to the Thermarests. I own all Thermarests, but if I had to do it again, I’d get the XPGs due to the lower price. TENT Cabela’s XPG Expedition Tent #4 – $70 (Eau Claire)
The tent is easy to set up, and it is very easy to take down. I have the XPG ultralight tent in the 3 man, I have been very happy with it, the one time I used it. I did get some decent rain while up in the high country and it kept the water out. I would only use it during archery season–summer or early fall though. The tent is of very light construction.
