Petrov and Nickerson had dropped a number of hints to Victor and other Salemites that John might be the presumed-dead Roman Brady, a police captain and former ISA agent of high value due to his abilities and knowledge of various highly classified subjects . Indeed, using the brainwashing techniques learned from Petrov, Stefano had implanted enough facts from Roman’s life into John’s subconscious that he was able to convince everyone, including John himself, that he was in fact Roman Brady, for a period of over five years. John finally learned the truth behind his murky past in early 2016, 30 years after arriving in Salem with no memory of it.
She was caught and sent to prison, but John worked to prove that Marlena had been set up. Marlena ended up shot by the police while trying to escape, and died in John’s arms. John eventually uncovered that the Salem Stalker debacle was another diabolical DiMera plot; Marlena and her “victims” were found alive on a remote island, “Melaswen” . Addicted to painkillers, John sought solace in the all-too-welcoming arms of—and proposed to—Roman’s widow Kate Roberts. John and Kate eventually broke off their engagement when Roman and Marlena managed to escape Melaswen and reappeared in Salem.
He sought the help of a therapist, Dr. Charlotte Taylor, but she purposely kept John in the dark about his returning memories. With Brady’s help, John and Marlena discovered Charlotte’s duplicity. Charlotte tried to kill Marlena, and ended up drugging John instead. He was paralyzed, but doctors said he could be cured at a clinic in Switzerland. John asked Marlena to marry him again before they leave, and she happily accepted. John and Marlena remarried in the hospital, and left Salem on January 23, 2009.

Steve and Kayla found Benjy on their honeymoon and nearly adopted him. However he ended up living with his maternal grandfather, Orion, in Europe. Years later, Benjy would make a brief and surprising return to Salem. Steve and Kayla Johnson were poisoned and recovering at Salem Hospital. Still unable to remember the past, Steve found himself torn between loyalty to Kayla and helping her recover, and his new feelings for Billie Reed. Steve noticed a stranger in the halls outside his recovery room; that stranger turned out to be Benjy.
Her main character, the villainous Kristen DiMera, suffers a miscarriage in secret, and in a panic to keep her love John Black away from Marlena, Kristen pretends to still be pregnant with John’s child. Stefano hires a doppelganger, Susan Banks to conceive and bear a child for her . Eileen Davidson portrayed the entire Banks family clan, four in total , as well as her main character.
Not much is known about Victor’s younger years before coming to Salem. However, his grandparents Antonia and Demetrius Kiriakis have been mentioned, as well as his father Yurgos and mother Sophie. Victor’s son Bo Brady was the father of three children with his wife Hope — sons Shawn and Zack, and daughter Ciara. He also fathered a daughter named Chelsea with his ex-wife Billie Reed . Stefano fathered his next son, EJ with Susan Banks, and was also confirmed to be the biological father of Chad, whose mother was Madeline Peterson Woods. After Stefano’s death, it was also confirmed that he fathered twins, Stefan and Jake, with Vivian Alamain, perSoaps in Depth. Over the years Stefano also adopted Peter Blake and his sister, Kristen, who later took the last name DiMera.
He is the son of Sophia DiMera and her husband and the father of Santo DiMera. Stefano loses control of DiMera enterprises in July 2014, when Sami and Kate successfully forged his signature on documents that make them Co-CEOs of DiMera enterprise. He later regains control with the help of Chad and Victor Kiriakis, who help Stefano set Kate up for a fall. After Stefano’s death in 2016, Chad likely became an executive and the Company’s CEO due to it being his inheritance. Andre and Kate returned to the company to help Chad bring back DiMera to its former glory.
Benjy was later murdered by his cousin (later revealed to be his half-brother) Andre DiMera and placed in the coffin used in Stefano DiMera’s fake funeral. Ever since Stefano’s youngest son Chad has taken over the DiMera Empire he has done his best trying to legitimize the DiMera name with the help of his wife Abigail. Chad was attempted to defeat Stefan in business as head of DiMera’s main rival Titan Industries but was removed by Victor Kiriakis. The DiMera board fired Stefan as CEO and initially wanted Kate Roberts to replace Stefan but she refused and recommended Chad, who was named the new CEO. However, not long after, Stefan was released after the charges were dropped, and so this brought a conflict of power between the two hateful brothers as to who would run DiMera Enterprises.
On March 2017, Chad hires his wife Abigail as the new publicity director in the company but she soon quits her job. DiMera Enterprises also known as the DiMera Empire, founded by Santo DiMera is an international conglomerate. In Europe, DiMera Enterprises were behind many hostile takeovers, drug operations and organized crimes.
John and Marlena’s subsequent reunion was cut short when a dying Stefano reignited his vendetta with John, by compelling his son, EJ DiMera to shoot John. John eventually came out of his coma in May 2007, but was then hit by a car, dying in Marlena’s arms on October 17, 2007. However, in January 2008, John was discovered alive in Stefano’s basement, with his memory wiped and programmed into a super soldier. Marlena found him, but he was not able to remember her, and continuously committed crimes ordered by Stefano. Stefano ordered him to kill Colleen Brady, but John found out that he was Colleen’s son with Santo DiMera, Ryan Brady, making him Stefano’s half-brother.

In January 24, Chad and Stefan learned the board decided to make both of them co-CEO’s of DiMera. Over the years it’s been revealed that the DiMera family shares a long history with both the Bradford and the Brady families of the fictional Midwestern American city of Salem. Currently , the show has been exploring the DiMeras’ connection to the Brady clan, dating back at least 50 years in the Brady’s’ ancestral home of Galway, Ireland, and the roots of a feud between the two families.
