With a steady hand, Josh grabbed a cutoff wheel and followed the upper seam of the cab panel from the passenger to the driver’s side. To start the actual process of removing the rear window, Josh sliced into the outer rubber and began to slowly pull it out. To start, Josh removed the bench seat from the cab. The upholstery work is too nice to subject it to the inevitable sparks that are soon to fly, but every inch of interior space will be necessary to get the job done.

Anyone out there with experience with these or this vendor. Bought my Sierra used and the only thing it did not have was the sliding rear window. I actually prefer manual to auto for use with fly rods out the back window. The difference the big window makes is enormous. It opens the cab up to better lighting on a sunny day and makes it easier to keep tabs on your surroundings.

I would really like to see someone come out with something to make ext cab rear door windows roll down… Make those things roll down that would be fukin sweet as hell… So I just bought a 2015 Nissan Titan sv extended cab. This exact model has the manual sliding small glass window on the back window. My question is this, can the back glass be converted to the power roll down large window as pictured below?

Then you know these things are getting much more difficult to find, and if you do locate one, the price tag is substantially higher than its smaller counterparts. If you happen to track one down that’s a reasonable price, jump on it. For those of us who haven’t been so lucky, there is hope. Be advised that a big-window conversion requires the attention of a seasoned fabricator, though. For vehicles traveling at high speeds for extended periods of time we do suggest installing bracing to prevent deflection. I do trim work on houses and sometimes need to carry 16 to 20 ft trim.

I’d open the rear window, put a towel on the dash and slide them through; great for last minute jobsite deliveries. That’s about the only thing I miss on the Sierra. Have you been scouring the market for a first-gen C-10 with a big factory panoramic-style rear cab window?

Two wires run to the motor mounted underneath the rear exhaust vents . Power has an inline fuse, and with ground they go from the switch to +12v and the frame, respecitvely. The blacked out edges of the new window are different from the old window in that from the outside you can see the back side of the upper rear trim pieces . I may get some black cloth to cover it…

2017 Ford F-150 Back Glass Power Sliding Rear Slider Window OEM Motor

When you pull the rear interior panel off , you’ll see a vent with flaps on it . The motor assembly thing looks like a fishing pole. One end is the motor, about the size of a fist, then there’s a long rigid portion, maybe 2 feet long and 1″ x 1″ cross section. This is connected by a cable to the window slider at the bottom passenger side of the window.

I knew WTF I was buying and I love my truck. I was simply asking for some information from the board not “ acting” like I’m rocking this or that. Take your yankee ass to another thread and STFU. Well I was keeping track of all my mods but it’s beyond FUBAR now so… If anyone else wants to swap windows im down too.

This is not an expensive mod at all… Actually it comes in less that what you pay for the small window in the LTZ or High Country…

The sound insulation kinda shows (this being issue #2). If I can’t swap then I’ll just have to buy a rear window. The slider in my truck would be hard to get into .
