Was the highway ride that different without the bar?
But this is the first that we have heard of the electronic sway bar disconnects malfunctioning in Fiat Chrysler products. It takes time for these class-action lawsuits to wind their way through the courts. Once there is more news to report we’ll let you know. Specifically, the electronic circuit board for the sway bar disconnect is in a housing with allegedly defective seals that are prone to failure, located in an area that is likely to get wet when driving in rain or through water.

I am guessing that handling would turn to $hit, but hey, the old trucks didn’t have them. I would really like to see a write up of that.
Thanks again for the cross member picture. While what you are saying is essentially true, your description of “violently jerking side to side” and “swaying side to side” does not describe what a sway bar will do on a bumpy road, hence all the responses that you have rejected. Power Wagon electric front swaybar
While the 3500 had the better load carrying capacity and pulling power that I needed for my camper, it lacked the undercarriage skid plate protection that came with the Power Wagon . Since I was going to be using my truck and camper for fairly rugged off-road use, I wanted to find a way to equip it with the array of skids from a Power Wagon. This took quite a bit more effort to make happen than I first thought.

People that are familiar with road racing know that reducing the stiffness of the front sway bar can get more bite out of the front end. All in all it is a huge difference in everyday driving with uneven driveways, speed bumps, and curvy roads. Any ideas or kits out there to make the front sway bars a quick disconnect style for off-road. Love the electric disconect from the Power Wagon but can’t find a kit let alone what the price would be.
