This means that color shades can have significant variations from sheet-to-sheet and will not be matched to a specific Pantone . If you have seen cool colored plastics, they are most likely not UHMW because of the inability to color match. They are the UHMW plates on the RC so I’m wondering if those hold better than the no X models. I’ll get an acurat measurement on mine but I’m sure is like 3/16 or 1/4 maybe. Do you recall the thickness of the Canam UHMW plate.

Can-Am Commander Replacement Skid Plate
I have purchased Can Am accessories and have found them to be a bit flimsy, particularly the mirrors. I ride on rocky trails and would l really like some advice. I was looking at the metal plate area that the OEM skids did not cover and discovered they have two more slots for the “U” nuts to possibly secure a longer Lateral skid plate.
We’ll be adding protection to that area that will also wrap around and protect the rocker panel as well. I smashed that arean on ours the first time out Our Commander is on loan to Maier Mfg right now but we should get it back in a week and start work on the rocker panel guards. Here is a picture of our rocker guards for the RZR which have been very popular. The rivet to bolt kit from Warranty Killer Performance comes in handy when working with or replacing skid plates. Definitely recommend pneumatic rivnut tool for that job. I have a XRC and the skid plate was torn up really bad after a short while and with what I thought was not really bad terrain.

Even now, its likely few MavT owners have installed any of those new products for this model. IMO, we now need real user feedback, rather than general endorsements of the brand or vendors joining this thread selling products. At the time the only ones I saw were Can Am and Trail Armor.

With that process, pressed corners tend to be thinner than the base sheet stock thickness .
Polaris RZR XP 900 UHMW Trailing Arm Guards
With Xrc ground clearance (even more with 32″ tires recently installed), I’m thinking the style Can-Am installed starting 2020 will survive just fine. Yes, there are some aftermarket skid options available now not offered at time I bought mine. Also noting, a pneumatic rivet gun is highly recommended to install Can-Am’s belly skids as described in the mentioned mods thread.
This material resists heat, friction and regardless of the terrain does not bend or dent. This is the level of protection that you should invest in for your CanAm Commander. Companies like Factory UTV make great UHMW skids, but they don’t stop there.

They are made in Estonia but shipping is actually cheaper from another country than ricochet will probably charge you. They are great quality and make in both aluminum and HPDE. There are many UTV aftermarket accessories available at Everything Can-Am Offroad to protect your undercarriage and one of them takes care of the largest surface. So pulled the trigger on Super ATV 1/2 skid plates.

Can-Am Commander / Maverick Sliding Vent Rear Windshield
All hardware, fasteners and any other component of the CoolFlo Windshield, other than the polycarbonate windshield panels, will be covered by a ONE YEAR Limited Warranty. The polycarbonate windshield panels will be covered under a THREE YEAR Limited Warranty. A buddy ordered the aluminum orange colored Richochet skids, but didn’t want to go UHMW. A-arm and trailing arm $232 but they don’t list a 2015, so not sure if 2104 will work. I will save me a lot of frustration researching products. Not sure why it says Teryx in the link, but it’s actually the correct link for the XMR skid plate.
As shown in my MavT mods thread, I installed Can-Am UHMW skids on F/R a-arms and front center bash plate when the car was new, then subsequently replaced the cheesy thin OEM plastic belly plate with balance of Can-Am’s complete kit. Took many direct hits due to low slung MavT ground clearance and held up fine. Part of the MavS Xrc pkg are those same UHMW skids, with notable exception 2020 models differ from 2019 with less costly to produce molded belly skids than the pressure formed skids I/we bought and installed.

Trail Armor Can-Am Commander Full Skid Plate
I contacted Can Am Maverick Trail and Maverick Sport | Skid Plates | Protections | Sliders they crry both and they said the Trail Armor was much stronger. However, if needed, individual panels may be removed to access different areas without removing the entire skid plate.
