Full Accessory Power Active Ford Explorer

3 min read

When it says “accessory power on or active” and the engine is off just push the start button without your foot on the brake and power will turn off. The “full accessory power active” message is a completely normal function of our Mustangs, it is not a fault. Hope this helps if anyone is have issues removing the “full accessory power active”.

If your vehicle won’t start, it’s usually caused by a dying or dead battery, loose or corroded connection cables, a bad alternator or an issue with the starter. It can be hard to determine if you’re dealing with a battery or an alternator problem. As long as there are no other devices running, it will work. Your battery could die in a matter of hours if you have a lot of devices functioning at the same time. Thus, you should limit your use of the ACC mode to an hour or two at a time.

Accessory power supply for radio

This is the step by step process that I did to fix it. If you press the start button without putting your foot on the brake, you enable Accessory Mode. If you press it a second time, it turns everything except the engine on. If you press it a third time, it turns everything off. You can just press the radio button to turn it on again.

I just got this 2006 eddie bauer ford explorer and it has barely any driving power. It has no acceleration even if you step on it, it just boggs down. If you are on a personal connection, like at home, you can run an anti-virus scan on your device to make sure it is not infected with malware.

I think I figure out how to fix the “Full accessory power active”

This is why I was Googling this message in the first place to see if it was a known problem. I will have her try this to see if it clears up the engine issue. If anyone has anything to add to this please do so.

It means you have full power for all accessories, the USB and power outlets, without starting the car. Yes, if you want to disable it, to save the battery from draining while sitting in the car without starting it, you simply press the start button again. If you want to use the audio system without starting the engine, leave your foot OFF the brake pedal and press the ENGINE START/STOP button once. To use other accessories like the windows or climate control without starting the car, press the button a second time. If you press the start button without your foot on the brake it turns on your accessory power.

How do I turn off full accessory power active Ford Explorer?

There should be no need to have accessory mode active. If you are at an office or shared network, you can ask the network administrator to run a scan across the network looking for misconfigured or infected devices. I’m not sure what their issue is specifically, but my daughter reported that out of the blue this message came up and then the car started acting very strange when starting. At one point it would not start back up and the check engine light came on.

If the car cranks when you turn the key, but the engine won’t start, it could be because fuel isn’t getting to the engine. One potential reason for this could be dirty fuel injectors. Over time, the fuel injector nozzles can become clogged with rust, corrosion or debris. I was able to figure out by myself since I could not find any answers on other forums or websites indicating the problem.
