Peyton Sawyer’s House

This was Peyton’s house from seasons 1 to 4. It is a one-of-a-kind, red-bricked house, and it is definitely one of the show’s landmarks since so much happened there. This was the house where psycho Derek attacked Peyton, where Brooke and Peyton were held hostage by Derek, where Peyton got to spend time with her birth mother for the first time, and much more. Peyton’s bedroom was one of her and Brooke’s favorite places to hang out, and it was where Peyton kept all her music. Brooke lived here with Peyton a few times as well. Full credit has to go the scripting, the casting and the acting.

They remain in that house until the end of the show. “Wind on the Hill’ awakened the need to ask questions. Questions we knew the answers but still brighten our minds to scope further. It’s really nice to see the children’s eyes smiling with their kite gliding through the air, running among the meadow and field, with their mummy or daddy by their side. If you are looking for a horror movie and don’t have heart problem then watching it should be a priority just expect to feel horrible afterwards…

In season 5, Peyton moved into Brooke’s house by the water, and in season 6 she lived with her husband Lucas in his house. In season 5, Karen moved away to New Zealand with her husband Andy and her daughter, Lily Roe Scott, so Brooke decided to use the building as her store Clothes over Bros.. She owned the building as Clothes over Bros. until season 8, when her business went downhill. So her and Haley decided to re-open Karen’s Café and they had great business there. In seasons 1 to 4, Karen owned her own café, Karen’s Café. Haley worked there part time, and Karen’s son, Lucas, always helped his mother out.

Throughout this movie my thoughts kept going to the book “A Child Called It”–also true. Because after watching this show, I can’t sleep. Although I wouldn’t have picked this show to watch, now that I have seen it I realize the importance of our world not EVER forgetting that this can and does happen. People know about it but don’t want to admit it or “pry”. Even though, in 2009, we’d like to believe the neighbors, CPS or the police would step in, I fear that is not the truth. This is an important movie and shouldn’t be relegated to cable stations as a sensationalist movie.

In that respect, it kind of reminded me of one of my favorite all-time movies, “River’s Edge”, which is also very disturbing, but ultimately very morally uplifting in a human way. Its been a really really long time since I seen a movie this intensely horrifying. This is the type of movie that starts off soft and ends at the climax, leaving viewers breathlessly shocked. I have never before seen children ages probably ranging between 8-13 commit the inhumane acts as seen in this movie. The boy children were given permission by their sick twisted foster mother to torture a beautiful innocent girl. As the torture worsen you feel more and more sympathy for the girl; this is what makes the movie excellent because it captures the audience in a very powerful way.

Think like Owen wilson and Steve Coogan like size. I think the little battles show up like 2-3 times, where it plays out as if it were a one night stand, but then got more serious with fights. I cant remember any of the lyrics but the videoclip is basically cuts of the band playing and cuts of girls dancing in front of a yellow background. While people may think that in “The Worst Day Since Yesterday”, episode 3.08, Lucas is not really painting the actual door of his house black, he is. Fans sometimes think otherwise because they know that it is only the outside of this house that is used as Lucas’s house, while the inside was built and filmed in Screen Gems Studios.
