I just want to show you guys the rear cargo area. Here is what the third-row split and stow looks like in the Toyota Sienna pre-2021. The 2021 trim is slightly different in that the split and stow seats have been altered in a way that makes them lighter and easier to stow and pull up. Toyota wes the only manufacturer to provide a hybrid minivan from 2004 until around 2017. This feature, along with exciting features like the split and stow option made Sienna a hit among consumers. The foldable third row seats are available in all Toyota Sienna trims and have been a standard addition in the vehicle since 2007.
The last week of September 2021 my husband notice a sound like water runing and a leak on the driver and passenger seats, we take the vehicle to the dealer for an inspection on October 2nd. They said the ac hose was clogged for a spiderweb and the leak can create a mold. We informed to the insurance and we taked the vehicle to the dealer for repair. They did an expensive special cleaning to remove the mold, and disamble my entire vehicle, the worse is my vehicle still unassembled after 3 months at the dealership. All this happens with out any warning sign, symptoms or light.

Toyota Sienna 2010-2022 Owners Manual: Removing the second seats
I pull up on the handle of the left seat and it doesn’t engage anything. I have the seat-back folded properly in the down position. Anyone else have this issue or know of a quick fix? Seems something may be broken internally and may need to be replaced.
There’s a latch on the side of the seat closest to the wall that hooks it down to the floor of the pit. It feels like the strap to release the seat is disconnected from the latch. I have done so many things to try to get them up. I have tried jumping and stomping on them, pushing them down while pulling the strap, sometimes it works if I can get my arm under the seat and pull up slightly and in all different directions. They’re very annoying and every time they get stuck, there’s a different way to get it up. When trying to raise them move them in all different directions, eventually it will come up.

I really like the third row seats being able to raise and hide them now instead having to remove them like I had to do with the 2002 Sienna I just got rid of. However, I have had my new 2015 Sienna for 4 months and just used the rear seats for the first time. The problem now is it seems the left seat handle to unlatch the seat from the floor is not working…

Not every one of the models of these vehicles have reclining seats however as the cheapest models will often have seats that don’t move at all. So despite all of these minivans offering reclining seats you will still want to check and make sure that the specific model that you are looking at offers this before purchasing a vehicle. First, we start this article content by taking a look at the Toyota Sienna models that are equipped with a system for folding the rear seats with straps or strings. This type of system is not the most traditional, but according to the year and series of your Toyota Sienna, it is plausible that yours itself is equipped. Once you’ve found the gaps, you’ll basically have to pull on them while pushing the seat back all at once to fold it down. You must replicate the method for each of the seats or sections of your bench according to the layout you have.

Some trim levels of the 7-Passenger models also offer an ottoman feature with a leg rest in these chairs. The second-row captain’s chairs cannot be removed like the 2020 model in any trim level. Also, while they can slide forward with a LATCH-installed carseat for decent 3rd row access, they do not also pivot with a carseat installed, like in some other vehicles for a slightly larger opening. The third row seats in the new Sienna, like most minivans, fold flat into the floor. However, there is no latch to hold the seats in place when folded. I noticed this immediately after taking delivery of the van in April because when the seats are folded, they bounce a bit over bumps.
The second row can be slid forward to allow for some additional storage space but the only way to utilize the entire rear of the vehicle is to remove the second row seats. Stow and go seating is designed to be simple and easy for anyone in the family to be able to maneuver the seating function without hassle. If the third-row seats are being used, there is still ample space in the deep cargo area behind the seats for storage. Before the third-row split and stow seating was implemented in the Sienna, the third row could be folded and flipped over to provide extra cargo space in the trunk area. This seating option in the Sienna offers convenient additional seating to fit more people in the minivan or the option to stow the seating away to create more cargo space in the back.

At other times, you will need to remove the middle seats to get as much space as possible. The good news is that this won’t take too long, and your car will be ready to transport almost anything. Seats problem of the 2008 Toyota Sienna
When I tried to do this for the first time yesterday, I was standing outside of the car but had my head inside over the seat when I lifted the seat handle. The back rocketed forward and the hard plastic on the edge hit my head cutting me and almost knocked me out! I was left with a goose egg sized lump and cut. If this is not recalled and fixed by Toyota some adult or child is going to get severely injured or killed.
Once that patent expires, the Sienna and other minivans are likely to start having all of their seats fold into the floor as well. To do this, you’ll need to push in the release lever and pull it up. Next, you’ll need to remove the two bolts holding the upper seat cushion and lift them up and out.

This will be located at the back of the seats. You’ll need to pull it back; this will allow you to lower the seats.
